Brian Kearney is a Principal in Mercer's Law & Policy Group. He works primarily on issues involving qualified and nonqualified retirement plans.
Before joining Mercer, Brian worked on public pension issues in the Office of the General Counsel at the US Department of the Treasury. Prior to that, he was a member of the employee benefits team at the law firm Kilpatrick Townsend, where he focused on plan design and compliance issues for qualified and nonqualified retirement plans and executive compensation arrangements. He received his BA in English from Saint Joseph’s University, his law degree from American University’s Washington College of Law, and his LLM in Taxation from the Georgetown University Law Center.
