A Partner in the Finance and Risk Practice, Miriam draws on her experience as a regulator to advise on a full range of risks.
Miriam re-joined Oliver Wyman from the Bank of England’s Prudential Regulatory Authority (PRA), where she delivered key aspects of the PRA’s annual stress test and led capital assessments for the largest UK banks. Most recently she headed up a team supervising two banks, which included setting supervisory strategy, overseeing technical assessments and making key judgements across all prudential risks.
I'm passionate about risk management as a strategic capability, and helping risk functions evolve in an increasingly dynamic environment. I'm also excited about tackling issues at the intersection of risk, regulation and data & technology.
Intellectually curious, Miriam draws on her fluency across risks and strong technical ability to avise clients. And having previously worked at Oliver Wyman, she is passionate about problem-solving and brings a strong delivery focus.
Having worked across a range of different institutions, I am able to look at an issue from different perspectives and put it into context. I like to get under the skin of things - breaking down a problem into its underlying components and bringing together the right stakeholders, to achieve quicker and more effective solutions.
Miriam holds a BA in Social Sciences from University College Utrecht and a MSC in European Political Economy from the London School of Economics.
Away from the desk, you will most likely find Miriam running and cycling round Hyde Park with her husband and two children.
